Message From the President

Here are a few things that the Salt Lake Valley Snowmobile Club has done over the summer.
In June we did the Mirror Lake Highway clean up. We had about a half dozen or so members show up for that project. Spring is such a nice time of year to get up there and take care of that project. Thanks to all those who helped out.
For our annual Willow Creek Warming hut clean up and maintence I had a Bou Scout, Conner Cluff from Troop 1222 out of Centerville, Ut. contact me and wanted to do his Eagle Scout project at the warming hut. We decided what a wonderful thing that would be and a great project for the Scouts. So we set a date of Sept. 24th and turned the project over to Conner to take care of. They did an excellent job of Cleaning out both buildings, repainting the buildings, splitting and restacking the firewood, restocking the supplies and a no. of small but much needed repairs. When they were done the buildings looked great. I feel that this not only helped Conner to get his Eagle Scout Award but it also helped out our club. It was a win, win situation for all of us. Thanks Conner!
We also had a booth again at this year's Snow Show and the club helped out again doing security at the show Doing security is always a good way for our club to earn some extra money. I want to thank everyone that voulnteered and helped out at the show.
Well it's starting to get cold and the snow will be here before you know it, so it's time to get those sleds ready for the upcoming season if you haven't already. Let's hope for as good a snow year this year and we had last year.
From my family to yours, we hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
